This shot taken for a Harvey Norman Catalogue on location in Blackrock Co.Louth. It was one of thirty Five different shots taken over three days. I must admit the location was absolutely amazing but was also one of my most challenging this year so far and when I say challenging I mean it in a good way because we all need a challenge to re-ignite the fire that excites you or gives you that buzz and satisfaction of creating a very successful image.
I would like to show some of my favorite wedding images from this year to date, this shot was taken on the Race course road, right in between were Aideen & Dermot live. I think we are situated in the most amazing landscapes in ireland and although this is not a typical backdrop for a wedding shot, I think it really adds to the photograph, and seen as typical is not something I like, the only thing typical about this photo is the love.
This is a shot I took as part of a commissioned job for L‘oreal ireland to show of some of the best that irish salons have to offer, the first salon was dylan bradshaw on South William street, Dublin 2. It was a very interesting salon to shoot as the play on beautifully colored light just had the most instant relaxing affect on me and I can just imagine what it does for the paying customer (money well spent ) I’d say. And L‘oreal have told me that the whole idea was dylan’s from start to finish and has won numerous awards for the design.
I would like to take this chance to thank Dylan Bradshaw for allowing me into his creative world as I really did enjoy myself that day.

I thought for a change that I would post some of my favorite pictures that I have taken of dundalk , I don’t get enough time at the moment to take pictures like this one but now that its up on my blog I can look at it from time to time when I am feeling like doing some landscape work but just can’t get the chance to do so. This picture was taken on the first bad bend on your way into Blackrock Co. Louth in the month of March, the mist was just starting to rise on the water and just as I decided to take the picture the birds just started to fly into the picture. Lucky i guess but thats what its all about, finding yourself in the right place at the right time anyway i hope you like cause i know i do.
This Image was one of about thirty different shots taken to advertise the different services and facilities on offer at the Quays shopping centre in Newry Co.Down. The shot on display right now was taken around the Omniplex cinema area and was one of about four different scenes shot at this particular location within the Quays. All clothing was provided by Pillar Box Red, Silk, Debenhams, A-wear, Jack & Jones, Aldo Shoes and Claire’s Accessories. The shoot took two days to complete and the team members were Hair by Catherine McElligott, Make-up day one by Barbara Duffy, Make-up day two by Aoibhin Conway, Styling by Catherine mcElligott. Models from left to right were Johnathan Moran, Monique Bryson-Clarke, Emma Coburn and Darren Guest and last by no means least Photography by Martin McElligott.
Its Loreal Colour Trophy Awards Time and i thought i’d show of some of the work which we have been doing, this image is one of three but this is my pet favorite at the moment, its soft pink tones and pastel yellow shaded background make it very subtle in my opinion.
